Ramgarh (Jharkhand) based Brahmaputra Metallics, a premium grade billet producer with a capacity of 150,000 t pa, has kept its price unchanged at INR 35,000/t exw. As per officials, they have sufficient domestic and export orders in hand for this month and dispatches are due. Hence, the company has no plans to cut prices amid high cost iron ore & pellets. The minimum required conversion is reported at INR 10,500-11,000/t, which is currently at INR 9,500-10,000/t from sponge C-DRI to billet.
