Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL) held an auction for different grades of coal on 21 June. The entire offered quantity of 234,740 t comprising G3,G4, G5 and G6 grades was booked at higher bids.
- G4 grade was booked at INR 12,803/t against the reserve price of INR 4,100/t, a rise of 3% from last auction.
- G5 was booked at INR 9,293/t against the reserve price of INR 3,772/t, higher by 7%.
The rise in bid prices could be attributed to lower quantity offered in June as compared to last month.
