Czech Republic: Flat Steel Import Edges Up by 2% in CY’18

As per latest customs data released, Czech Republic flat steel imports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates), 7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets), 7210/7212 (GP/GC) reported marginal increase of 2% to 4.62 MnT in CY’18 against 4.54 MnT in CY’17.

Similiarly on Y-o-Y basis country’s flat steel imports decline by 13% at 0.26 MnT in Dec’18 over 0.3 MnT in the previous year.

Meanwhile on monthly basis nation’s flat steel imports registered a growth of 37% in Dec’18 against 0.41 MnT in Nov’18.

Country-wise Czech Republic Flat Steel Imports in CY’18- Germany being the major exporter of Czech republic exported 1.08 MnT and accounts for 23.41% of share in CY’18.

Second major exporter was Slovakia exported 0.95 MnT and accounted for 21% of share in CY’18.

Meanwhile other major exporting nations were Poland which stood at 0.57 MnT (12%), Austria at 0.32 MnT (7%), Italy at 0.28 MnT (6%) and Hungary at 0.20 MnT (4%) in CY’18.
