Correction: NMDC Iron Ore Auction from Chhattisgarh Mines Scheduled on 17th Mar

India’s largest iron ore miner – National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has scheduled an e-auction on 17th Mar’20 from its Chhattisgarh mines. The offered material comprises of 24,000 MT DR CLO, 28,000 MT iron ore fines, 20,000 MT ROM and 40,000 MT low grade iron ore.

In Jan’20, NMDC Ltd hiked its iron ore prices twice for the month. Prices of Baila lump ore is at INR 3,200 per wet metric tonne (wmt), Baila iron ore fines are at INR 2,910 per wet metric tonne. FoR prices mentioned are excluding Royalty, DMF, NMET and other taxes.

*Correction made: In the last report published by SteelMint, it was reported that the auction held on 12th Mar’20 received dull response. However as per the latest update received from company officials, the auction has been rescheduled on 17th Mar’20.
