Colombia: Thermal coal exports rise by 13% m-o-m in July

Colombia’s thermal coal exports rose by 13% m-o-m to 6.4 mnt in Jul’22 on increased shipments to Turkey and Chile, customs data showed. A sharp rise, however, was limited as blockade around Cerrejon coal mine affected operations and output. In Jan-Jul’22, the country’s thermal coal exports totalled 30.9 mnt, up by 6% y-o-y.
