Q2 2017 Coal Production in Colombia Falls
Coal output in Colombia fell 6.95% in Q2 2017 to 21.4 MnT over Q2 2016, during which, the production was at 23.07 MnT. In that country, the production target for 2017 is set at 95 MnT.
CIL Lines Up Capital expenditure
State-run Coal India Limited has earmarked a capital expenditure of INR 8,500 crore for FY18 for expediting mining projects and ramp up production. At the same time, the coal major also is looking for acquiring Coking Coal assets in Australia.
Coal Loading Resumes At Abbot Terminal
The Abbot Point Coal Terminal has recovered from the fire outbreak incident, occurred on 28July’17. Ship loading resumed on 5 Aug’17, and Rail Dumping Station No 1 restarted operations on 12 Aug’17.
