>> Central government has apprised the Supreme Court of India that it is not possible to completely switch over from coal to Natural Gas in power generation in India due to the domestic inadequacy of the gas. The court has identified coal based power generation as the biggest atmospheric pollution source.
>> The number of waiting coal vessels at the DBCT in Australia has gone up to 70, according to the latest information received. Two week ago, there were 45 vessels. The congestion has resulted from the stronger demand for coal imports as a buzz of a possible cyclone occurrence in Australia is doing the rounds.
