Coal India Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited to build a solar power plant of 1,190 MW. The project will be built under Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks planned in Rajasthan. It would boost CIL’s pursuit of solar power generation as part of its diversification programme for clean coal energy.
