Pig iron exporters based in the CIS region lift prices for export purposes, after maintaining them for the last couple of weeks.
Offers move up in the range of $5-15/MT as buying interest shows signs of improvement.
From Ukraine, Pig iron is being offered at $380-395/MT FoB Black Sea.
In the previous week, it was quoted in the range of $365-385/MT.
It has been heard that a couple of trades have taken place for big quantities of Ukrainian Pig iron i.e. 90,000 tons of material at $382-388/MT and a 60,000 tons material at $415-420/MT CIF Italy.
INDIA:
Tata Metaliks Limited (West Bengal) extends dates for holding Pig iron production from one of its Blast furnace at Kharagpur Pig iron manufacturing unit by a week's time.
It has been shifted to 9th till the 23rd of July (for 2 weeks), which was earlier to be from the 3rd to the 17th of July.
