Billet: Yesterday, the ex-factory price of general carbon billet in Tangshan, Changli and Qian’an was settled at RMB 3,480/MT down RMB 20. Today’s steel market tends to go strong with Changli area taking lead of an upswing by RMB 20 to report RMB 3,500/MT. The transactions on billet are passable and price of finished product are getting higher. Mill straight shipment is smooth. The ex-warehouse spot is at RMB 3,550-3,560/MT tax-inclusive with some transactions. The overall shipment of the finished products is active, and it is expected that the billet will go stronger in the afternoon.
Construction steel: The mainstream construction steel on Tangshan market is stable. The current market price of rebar HRB 400 of big specification is at RMB 3,820/MT, small specification at RMB 3,950/MT, while coiled rebar at RMB 4,030/MT up RMB 20.
