Chinese domestic billet prices witness a significant rise of RMB 50

Today, billet prices in the Tangshan market (northeast China) opened with a rise of RMB 50, against last week’s closing. The increased finished steel prices have pulled the domestic billet prices. However, billet transactions were moderate, today. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported at RMB 3,450/t ($493/t) in Tangshan, inclusive of 13 % VAT.
