Chinese domestic billet prices register a rise RMB 50 ($8)

Today, the billet prices in the Tangshan market (northeast China) settled with a significant rise of RMB 50 ($8) against last week’s closing. The billet transactions were moderate, while finished steel prices continue trending upwards. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported at RMB 3,550/t ($537/t) in Tangshan, inclusive of 13 % VAT.
