Sanctions on Russia and exclusion of lenders from the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), the international payment network, has made Chinese buyers of Russian coking coal suspend their purchases. Amid strong demand and tight domestic supplies, China has turned entirely to Mongolia to meet its requirements. Market participants expect that daily truck traffic from Mongolia will increase by 10-20 per day to 150 in the coming days
