Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose d-o-d by RMB 50/t ($8/t) on 1 Mar’22 following an uptick in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 4,600/t ($728/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for May’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,837/t ($766/t), witnessing a sharp increase of RMB 144/t ($23/t), d-o-d.
