The billet imports in China witnessed a marginal rise of ~4% in Jul’20, to reach 2.46 mn t against 2.36 mn t in Jun’20. India, Russia, Vietnam stood the prominent billet exporters to the country. During Jan-Jul’20, the billet imports of the country recorded at 7.72 mn t, up by eleven-folds CPLY on high domestic prices and cost-effective imports.
