China’s Top-7 Crude Steel Producing Provinces in Jan-Oct’21

Hebei was the largest crude steel producing province in China in Jan-Oct’21 with 190 million tonnes (mn t). But, compared to last year, Hebei’s production fell by 10% y-o-y. Jiangsu is the second-largest crude steel-producing province with 100 mn t followed by Shandong province in third place with 66 mnt, down 2% y-o-y. It is to be noted that China’s total crude steel production in Jan-Oct’21 was at 877 mn t, down 1% y-o-y.
