China’s Country-wise Steel Imports in Jan-Oct’21

China’s steel imports increased 10.33% in Jan-Oct’21 to 11.57 million tonnes (mn t). In the first 10 months of CY’21, China’s steel imports from Japan reached 3.90 mn t, South Korea 2.68 mn t, Malaysia 1.66 mn t, Taiwan China 1.15 mn t, Indonesia 0.72 mn t and Germany 0.43 mn t. It is to be noted that China imported 20.23 mn t steel in CY’20, up 6.4% y-o-y.
