China’s power generation rises marginally in Aug’21

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that China’s power generation increased 0.2%, y-o-y, to 738.3 billion kWh in Aug’21. In Aug, the growth rate of thermal, nuclear, wind, and solar power all slowed down. Power generation stood at 5,389.4 billion kWh in Jan-Aug’21, a yearly increase of 11.3% and up 11.6% over the same period in 2019.
