China’s pig iron imports increase 119% m-o-m in Jul’21

Pig iron imports into China were recorded at 94,753 t in Jul’21, a sharp increase of 119% m-o-m as compared to 43,341 t in Jun, customs data compiled by SteelMint reveals. China’s accumulated pig iron imports in the Jan-Jul’21 period stood at 1.33 mn t thereby declining 46% as against 2.45 mn t in Jan-Jul’20.
