China’s domestic HRC prices edge lower by RMB 30/t ($4/t)

China’s HRC prices dropped by RMB 30/t ($4/t) while CRC prices remained flat d-o-d on 2 Aug’22. According to SteelMint data, SHFE HRC futures for Oct’22 delivery settled today at RMB 4,017/t ($594/t), down by RMB 27/t ($4/t) on d-o-d basis. Current prices-

• HRC (4.5-12mm, Q235 B): RMB 4,020/t ($595/t)
• CRC (1-1.2mm, Q195-215A): RMB 4,475/t ($662/t)
• Prices are exw-Tianjin basis, inclusive of 13% VAT.
