Domestic coking coal prices in China have risen by RMB 60-300/t across regions because of increased downstream demand from the steel industry amid limited supplies. The current price of coking coal in Inner Mongolia’s Wuhai region is assessed at RMB 2550/t ($403/t), up by RMB 150/t ($24/t). The third round of met coke price hike of RMB 200/t has also been accepted by the steel mills.
