China's Tsingshan to set up 1.2 mn t steel plant in Zimbabwe

China: Tsingshan Group to build Africa’s largest steel plant

Tsingshan Holding Group’s subsidiary in Zimbabwe has recently added two smelting furnaces at its Central African Plant in Qigutu. This will improve company’s operational efficiency and output. Also, Dingsen Steel – the sister company of Central African Smelter Plant, has decided to construct Manshiz steel plant, which will be Africa’s largest steel plant. Its first blast furnace is expected to be commissioned by Sep’23.
