TISCO subsidiary Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel is planning to build a 700,000 t electric furnace stainless steel smelting line for the production of 400 series and some 300 series products. The new stainless steel line and continuous casting workshop are coming up at Taigang’s No. 4 blast furnace site through relocation and replacement of the original 90 t electric furnace as part of China’s capacity swap policy.
