China: Steel inventory at CISA-affiliated mills continues to rise in mid-July

Steel inventory at Chinese mills in mid-Jul’22 stood at 19.03 mnt, an increase of 0.98 mnt or 5.45% m-o-m, as per CISA data.

• In the first 10 days of the month, inventory decreased by 1.49 mnt.
• Compared with the beginning of the year, inventory increased by 7.73 mnt.
• As against the same period of last year, steel inventory increased by 4.11 mnt or 27.57%.
