China: Steel imports decline 7% y-o-y in Jan-Feb’25

China’s steel imports fell 7% to 1.05 mnt in Jan-Feb’25 from 1.13 mnt in the same period last year, as per General Administration of Customs data.
Steel imports declined amid escalating trade tensions, preference for exports, subdued domestic demand, and the seasonal lull from the Lunar New Year holidays.
