Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan inched up marginally by RMB 20/t ($3/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,650/t ($523/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 8 Dec’22. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,839/t ($550/t), up RMB 57/t ($8/t) d-o-d.
