China: Steel billets prices, rebars futures edge up

Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan improved by RMB 70/t ($10/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,720/t ($530/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 9 Dec’22. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,945/t ($568/t), up RMB 106/t ($15/t) d-o-d.
