Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 4,360/t ($686/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 8 Dec’21. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for May’22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 4,350/t ($685/t), thereby registering a sharp decrease of RMB 100/t ($16/t), d-o-d.
