Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed a rise of RMB 30/t ($4/t) on 16 August 2022. Prices stood at RMB 3,790/t ($558/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,153/t ($612/t), an increase of RMB 27/t ($4/t), d-o-d.
