Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed an increase of RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 24 Aug’22. Prices stood at RMB 3,750/t ($546/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,086/t ($595/t), a rise of RMB 34/t ($5/t), d-o-d.
