China: Steel billet prices drop by RMB 10/t ($1/t) d-o-d

Steel billet prices in Tangshan, China, fell by RMB 10/t ($1/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,050/t ($422/t), including 13% VAT, on 3 Apr’25.
Despite limited trade, billet prices remained mostly stable, as mills continued procuring raw materials, showing little reaction to the US tariffs.
SHFE rebar futures (May’25) inched down by RMB 2/t ($0.3/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,164/t ($435/t) on 3 Apr.
