China: Power cuts in Oct’21 to hit ferro chrome production

China’s ferro chrome production is expected to drop further on revised power utilisation plans. The county’s power curtailment area was further expanded for Oct’21. The Qinghai, Gansu, and Shanxi regions are expected to cut ferro chrome production further. Shanxi and Jiangsu can maintain 30-50% production capacity in Oct. Most market participants are waiting for the tender prices of major steel mills.
