Seven ferro chrome smelters in China’s Zhenyuan and Cengong provinces are being required to shut down owing to power cuts. The power supply norms vary. Moreover, 30-40% of the total production of ferro chrome is being hampered in Yuping, Bijiang, and Wanshan provinces due to power cuts for 8-12 hours. SteelMint observes that HC ferro chrome output in Guizhou is expected to be around 19-25 kt provided power supply remains uninterrupted.
