China: Iron ore spot prices dip d-o-d amid slow trading activity

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices inched down by $0.35/t d-o-d to $94.25/t CFR China on 16 Jun’25. Trading activity was slow but steady, primarily focused on medium-grade cargoes. Reportedly, mills made need-based purchases to replenish their lower inventory levels from earlier. Additionally, China’s port stock iron ore prices remained stable after a decline over the past few days.
