China: Iron ore spot prices continue to decline on lacklustre demand

The spot price of iron ore benchmark Fe 62% fines decreased by $2.25/t on 15 Sept’21 to $120.35/t CFR China on weak restocking demand ahead of the National Day holidays in China in the first week of Oct’21. Trading activity in the market remained dull due to uncertainties around steel production curbs and prospects of a further decrease in iron ore prices in Q4 CY’21.
