The spot price of iron ore in China decreased slightly on 27 Jul’22, with buying interest for Indian pellets remaining weak. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices inched down by $0.65/t to $111.05/t CFR China. The suspension of exports and subsequent decline in trade following the imposition of duty on pellet exports by the Indian government in May also weigh on market sentiment.
