China: Iron ore prices fall on weak demand

The spot price of iron ore in China fell sharply on 12 Jul’22 as procurement activity decreased and the market continued to trend lower. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices moved down by $8.25/t to $105.8/t CFR China. According to sources, prospects for high-grade material are being hampered by weak steel margins and iron ore demand.
