Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 5,140/t ($796/t) inclusive of 13% VAT on 16 Jul’21. Overall billet transactions were weak in general, while finished steel prices remained stable. The Oct’21 contract for Chinese rebar futures closed slightly higher today at RMB 5,559/t ($859/t).
