China: Coking Coal Imports Plunge 45.06% in May’17 M-o-M

Coking Coal imports in China in May’17 had shrunk by 45.06% over that in Apr’17, an analysis by CoalMint Research on the recently released data by China Customs shows.

In May’17, 4.65 MnT of Coking Coal was imported in China. The shrinkage in the import volume was a consequence of the supply disruption in Australia after the occurrence of the Debbie cyclone. In the previous month, 8.46 MnT of the coal was imported in that country.
