China: Coal imports decline marginally in Q1CY’25

China’s cumulative imported volume of coal and lignite in Jan-Feb’25 amounted to 114.85 mnt, down a mere 0.9% y-o-y, as per data from the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China. However, imports of the same stood at 38.73 mnt in Mar’25, marking a 6.4% y-o-y decline.
