China: Chrome ore stocks begin rising after holiday break

China’s chrome ore stocks began rising in early May’22 once the market reopened after the Labour Day holidays. On a weekly basis, chrome ore stocks increased to 2.528 mnt. South African chrome ore stocks had been assessed at 2.23 mnt at the end of last week. However, Turkish and Albanian ore stocks fell by 4.8% and 14.2% respectively, while stocks of Zimbabwean ore were pegged at 20,000 t.
