China’s onset of winter has made top mining company, China Energy Investment Group (CHN) to ensure sufficient coal supplies to power plants. CHN has already supplied over 81 mnt in last 2 months, and its sales under term contract increased by 329,000t against September. It has also successfully secured 5.05 mnt of coal stocks at 28 plants equivalent to 29 days of generation in the northeastern provinces of China.
