China: Billet prices inch up by RMB 10/t ($1/t) d-o-d in Tangshan

  • Steel billet tags in China’s Tangshan increased by RMB 10/t ($1/t) d-o-d to RMB 2,920/t ($405/t), including 13% VAT, on 29 May’25.
  • The rise came despite mills operating at a six-month capacity peak, supported by improved downstream product sales and stable raw material prices.
  • SHFE rebar futures (Oct’25) rose by RMB 14/t ($2/t) d-o-d to RMB 2,978/t ($413/t) on 29 May.
