China: Automobile sales rise by 10% m-o-m in Dec’22

China’s automobile sales rose by 9.7% m-o-m and 8.4% y-o-y to 2.55 million units in Dec’22, as per the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Auto production fell by 0.3% m-o-m to 2.38 million units in the month. On a y-o-y basis, output rose by 18.2%.
In CY22, both sales and production increased by 2.1% and 3.4% y-o-y to 26.86 million units and 27.02 million units respectively.
