Chhattisgarh (India): Billet prices lowered by Rs 900/MT over a week   

Billet prices that moved up in start of the week witnessed a major fall from the mid of the week.

Price fall in one week: Bhilai Rs 900/MT, Raipur Rs 800/MT, Hyderabad Rs 800/MT, Durgapur Rs 600/MT, Rourkela Rs 500/MT, Goa Rs 300/MT, Jaipur Rs 300/MT and Mandi Rs 200/MT.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) sold 2,500 tons of MS Billet the last week at $565/MT (FOB Siding Durgapur), freight to Nepal border was Rs 1,200.

Monday is anticipated to show some direction to market as Billet makers in Chhattisgarh expect some good demand from other locations southern region and ahmedabad.
