Central India: Sponge iron inquiries continue to remain dull in Raipur

Buying inquiries amongst the Raipur based major sponge manufacturers continues to remain limited, SteelMint learned from officials. Today, the P-DRI offers were heard at INR 18,700-18,900/t exw, while few deals (total of around 2,000 t) were reported at INR 18,500-18,600/t on exw & FoR basis from outside based suppliers. Sources expect weak demand to further put pressure on prices and they may see marginal correction.
