“Bullish on Indian steel demand in long run”- Kamal Sarda

In a conference held at Raipur, Chattisgarh on secondary steel vision mission 2020, Mr Kamal Sarda, CMD Sarda Energy and Minerals Ltd, said that India has huge potential to grow in long run, current scenario is not favorable for the industry but we have to sustain.

He mentioned that per capita consumption of steel in India is 55 kgs where as average per capita consumption of steel in world is 200 kgs, there is still scope left.

“We have to make ourselves more competent and cost effective.We have to think out of the box. Hard times come and this will make us stronger.There are no new government policies to boost infrastructural growth i, but time will come.” Mr Sarda said.

Sarda Energy and Minerals Ltd is one of the largest integrated steel plant based in Chattisgarh.
