Billet prices in India are stable on limited sales

Billet manufacturers are finding it hard to make sales at offer prices as buyers are in a dilemma regarding new purchases at the moment. Offers are unchanged in India due to weak demand.

A Chhattisgarh based trader said, “We are not hopeful of improved sales. Hence, prices stand at same levels in Raipur and Raigarh. Whereas, offers correct marginally by Rs 100/MT in Bhilai and Bilaspur”.

“Around 500 to 700 tons of Billet was sold today. Rolling mills and Furnaces continue the strike”, said another trader at Mandi.
