Billet offers in India rise sharply this week; might move up further

Billet buying improved as demand in re-bars picked up and also as Billet prices touched quite low levels.
Price rise of Billet in various cities of India, in a week's time: Durgapur Rs 1,700/MT, Bhilai Rs 1,200/MT, Raipur Rs 1,000/MT, Jaipur Rs 800/MT, Mumbai Rs 500/MT, Mandi Rs 400/MT, Goa and Kandla Rs 300/MT, Ahmedabad and Chennai Rs 200/MT and Hyderabad and Rourkela Rs 100/MT.
No offers were made from sellers based at Bilaspur and Raigarh. Whereas, prices at Jalna remained unchanged
In the next week, Billet offers be lifted slightly as steel prices are moving up across the country.
