PELLEX, BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe 63% 0.5%) index for Raipur, increased by INR 200/t ($2/t) to INR 11,800/t ($122/t) DAP Raipur. Pellet manufacturers in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, increased offers further for Fe 62.5/63% (+/-0.5%) grade pellets by INR 300/t ($3/t) to INR 11,700-11,800/t ($121-122/t) ex-works.
BigMint’s billet index increased by INR 150/t d-o-d to INR 45,750/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from PDRI to billet for standalone induction furnaces in the Raipur cluster was assessed at INR 16,400/t.
Domestic sponge iron prices moved in diverse directions today. Prices rose by INR 50-200/t in Durgapur, Ramgarh and Raigarh. BigMint’s Raipur PDRI prices settled at around INR 29,350/t, down slightly by INR 50/t. BigMint recorded trade of around 10,000 t.
